Terms of Use

 

Cache Laundry Co. is excited to offer laundry services to you (referred to as "you" or the "customer"), contingent upon your acceptance and adherence to the Terms of Use outlined below. We urge you to carefully read the following provisions. Your utilization of the Cache Laundry Co. website and services signifies your agreement to comply with the Terms of Use detailed herein. If you do not agree, it is imperative to cease using the Cache Laundry Co. website and services promptly.

Cache Laundry Co. retains the right, with or without prior notice, to modify these Terms of Use. The latest version of these Terms of Use can be accessed by clicking on "Terms of Use" located at the footer of any page on the Cache Laundry Co. website. This current version will take precedence over all previous iterations. Your continued use of the Cache Laundry Co. website or services after any changes indicates your acceptance of such modifications. Consequently, it is recommended to periodically review the Terms of Use.

This agreement is strictly between Cache Laundry Co. and its customers, establishing no relationship with any other parties. The term "Laundry" may encompass wash & fold laundry, referring to normal machine-washable items.


 

Pickup & Delivery

Customers are required to pre-schedule pickups for laundry services. Typically, pickups and deliveries occur weekly, from Monday to Wednesday, excluding specific holidays identified by Cache Laundry Co. The company retains the authority to determine the pickup and delivery times, generally falling between 8 a.m. and the evening hours. These times are contingent on laundry volumes and the optimal routing of pickup and delivery vehicles.

The customer acknowledges the obligation not to include the following in or attached to items for cleaning or inside laundry bags: (i) non-washable items, (ii) items labeled for hand washing only, or (iii) any items not intended for laundering. The customer assumes responsibility for any damage caused by items left in their clothing or laundry bag that result in harm to the clothing of any customer, the cleaning machines, or any property of Cache Laundry Co. or its customers. If the laundry bags provided to the customer are not returned upon termination of their service or if customer needs to have a lost bag replaced, a fee of $20 per bag will be assessed. 

Cache Laundry Co. does not claim responsibility and will not compensate for any loss, damage, or theft of items left unattended by the customer during pickup or delivery. By granting Cache Laundry Co. personnel access to their pickup and delivery location, the customer agrees to absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless Cache Laundry Co., its employees, successors, and assigns, from any and all losses, liabilities, damages, claims, suits, actions, judgments, and costs arising from intentional acts, omissions, or negligent acts. Additionally, the customer agrees to restrain owned animals to prevent any danger to Cache Laundry Co. personnel or the potential for escape due to the driver's access and failure to close doors, gates, etc.
 

 

Missed Pickup or Delivery

In the event that a customer fails to provide laundry for a scheduled pickup or is not present at their address during a scheduled delivery (with explicit instructions not to leave laundry unless the customer is present), a missed pickup/delivery fee of $9.99 may be incurred. Additional charges, as typically applied for distant or challenging-to-service locations, may also be applicable. Cancellations made before 8 a.m. on the day of the pickup are exempt from any fees. 

 

 

 

Garment Care

Cache Laundry Co. is committed to delivering a laundering and cleaning service of the highest quality, making reasonable efforts to maintain such standards. It's important to note that Cache Laundry Co. assumes no liability for items treated according to care labels or other provided instructions. Additionally, the company does not claim responsibility for damage to items lacking care instructions or with obscured or hard-to-see care instructions.

Cache Laundry Co. also holds no liability for items requiring special attention during cleaning. However, the company, at its discretion, will take special care of such items if they are placed in a separate plastic bag (provided by the customer) within the customer's laundry bag and clearly labeled with instructions. Normal processing may result in items bleeding, shrinking, or undergoing other changes; and we assume no liability for such changes, although precautions will be taken to address these issues when possible.

It is within the discretion of Cache Laundry Co. to refuse to clean any garment, and the company does not guarantee the complete removal of all stains. In cases where, at the sole discretion of Cache Laundry Co., items were not properly cleaned and have not been worn or used since cleaning, the company will undertake to re-clean such items.
 

 

Prohibited Items

The customer assures that they will not submit items tainted with solvents, chemicals, or cleaning products. Any damage caused by these substances to the clothing of any customer, the cleaning machines, or any other property of Cache Laundry Co. or its customers is the customer's responsibility. Cache Laundry Co. will not clean items soiled with solvents, chemicals, oil, gasoline or items containing solid animal or human feces.

 

 

Lost Items

In cases of missing items sent for wash & fold laundry, Cache Laundry Co. bears no responsibility for their loss. We make significant efforts to secure wash & fold laundry to prevent any potential loss. Customers might not have a precise inventory of the contents in their wash & fold laundry bag, often suspecting a lost item but later discovering it within their household or business in subsequent weeks. As a bulk laundry service, Cache Laundry Co. does not individually identify each item. Therefore, even if a customer provides an inventory list, it will not be acknowledged.

 

 

 

Damaged Items

In the event that a garment is damaged by Cache Laundry Co., we will issue a refund or credit for the item's value, as outlined in the International Fair Claims Guide from the International Fabricare Institute ("IFI") or as otherwise indicated in these Terms of Use. The Fair Claims Guide considers factors such as the average life of the garment, depreciation based on its age, and the current replacement cost. If the customer cannot document the age of a garment, they may attest to its age, but Cache Laundry Co., at its sole discretion, may establish a minimum age of one year for any garment. If the current replacement cost is unavailable (e.g., the item is no longer in stores), Cache Laundry Co. may use the replacement cost of a comparable available item. However, the maximum reimbursement for each individual item is thirty dollars ($30.00), not exceeding the lesser of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per order or twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for every ten (10) pounds of wash & fold laundry washed. This is subject to standard depreciation schedules outlined in the Fair Claim Guide from the International Fabricare Institute ("IFI"). The policy's limit is three hundred dollars ($300.00) per customer per year. While Cache Laundry Co. is not liable for damage or loss due to third-party service providers' fault, we may, at our sole discretion, choose to reimburse the customer in these events according to IFI standards described above.

We are not responsible for preexisting damage to garments or other laundry items. If we identify preexisting damage or have concerns about colorfastness, fabric age, or weakness, we may process it at our discretion on a best efforts basis or return the item without cleaning it. Additionally, intentionally torn, distressed, or manufacturer-damaged items (e.g., jeans, denim garments, etc.) are excluded from damage claims.

Cache Laundry Co. disclaims responsibility for the loss or damage to personal or non-cleanable items left in clothing, washable items, or pickup or delivery bags, such as money, jewelry, or other items. We are also not liable when such items (including ink pens, markers, pencils, crayons, lip balm, etc.) cause damage during processing. Although we attempt to detect and remove these items before processing, customers agree not to leave such items in their laundry or pickup / delivery bags.

Any missing or damaged items must be reported to us within forty-eight (48) hours of the item(s) delivery.

 

 

Pricing

Cache Laundry Co. retains the authority to modify prices at its discretion and is not accountable for typographical errors on the website regarding pricing information. In the case of a typographical error affecting your order's pricing, we will notify you before charging your credit card. Cache Laundry Co. also holds the right to reasonably adjust pricing without prior notice for items that are exceptionally light-weight when dried (dry weight not accurately reflecting laundering value), items with high absorbency compared to standard fabrics (possibly requiring extended drying time), or other items deemed unusual by Cache Laundry Co.

A minimum charge of $34.99 is applicable for wash & fold laundry.

In the event that a customer is signed up for weekly laundering services, Cache Laundry Co. requires that at least 2 services are completed per 30 day cycle. If a second service is not sceduled by the 31st day from your last service, our minimum laundring fee of $34.99 will be accessed. 

 

 

Payment

Payment is accepted through debit or credit cards. To schedule service, the customer must maintain an active debit or credit card on file. Payments for completed services are considered non-refundable. If Cache Laundry Co. encounters difficulty authorizing the customer's credit card for payment, or if the customer has outstanding invoices beyond the agreed-upon payment terms, laundry services may be withheld until payment for both current and prior services is received. After a 30-day period from the date payment for an order is due, unclaimed laundry or laundry without arranged and accepted delivery may be donated to charity or disposed of. Alternatively, at its sole discretion, Cache Laundry Co. drivers may accept cash on delivery (COD) payments with an additional fee equivalent to the amount charged by UPS (as of January 2024, this is $15.50). It is the customer's responsibility to ensure they receive proof of payment from the driver and retain this record in case it is needed to address payment queries.

 

 

Use of Third-Party Service Providers

Cache Laundry Co. reserves the right to utilize any vendor or outside service provider, for any service, in its sole discretion, without notice to the customer.


 

Copyright and Ownership

All website content, design, text, graphics, and interfaces; the collection, selection, and arrangement thereof; and all software are the property of, or duly licensed to, Cache Laundry Co. Consent is granted to view, electronically copy, and print in hard copy portions of this website for the sole purpose of placing an order. Any other use of materials on this website, including modification, distribution, or reproduction for purposes other than those noted above, without the prior written permission of Cache Laundry Co. is strictly prohibited. You acknowledge that Cache Laundry Co. and/or third-party content providers remain the owners of such material and that you do not acquire any of those ownership rights by downloading copyrighted material. Cache Laundry Co. reserves the right to revoke this authorization at any time, and any use shall be discontinued immediately on written notice from Cache Laundry Co.


 

Disclaimer

Cache Laundry Co. liability shall be limited to general money damages in a maximum amount not to exceed one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). This liability shall be the extent ofCache Laundry Co. liability regardless of the form in which any legal or equitable action may be brought and the foregoing shall constitute the customer's exclusive remedy. In no event will Cache Laundry Co. be held liable or be responsible for any consequential, special, indirect, incidental or punitive loss or damages, whether or not Cache Laundry Co. knew or should have known of the likelihood of any such loss or damages. Cache Laundry Co. disclaims all warranties, express or implied, with respect to the services rendered to the customer.

 

Venue and Choice of Law

Any suit involving any dispute arising between Cache Laundry Co. and the customer may only be brought in the County of Cache in the Utah State Court or United States Federal Court having jurisdiction over the subject matter of the dispute or matter and that is in, or the shortest distance from, Cache County, Utah. These terms of service and the relationship between the parties shall be interpreted, construed, and governed according to the internal laws of the State of Utah, without reference to its choice of law rules.
